Book Tag!!

This is a book tag that is sweeping the blogging nation...so, I figured that I would fill it out.

1. One book that changed your life: A Wrinkle in Time. It paved the way for my imagination.
2. One book that you’ve read more than once: I can't name only one...I have probably read every single book in my house more than once.
3. One book you’d want on a desert island: A book on posionous plants so that I would know which ones not to eat!!
4. One book that made you laugh: All of the Archie and Friends comics
5. One book that made you cry: The Notebook by Nicholas Sparks
6. One book you wish had been written: A book on handling disappointment
7. One book you wish had never been written: Tran-Sister Radio by Chris Bohjalian...what I could make through the book was HORRIBLE!!
8. One book you’re currently reading: The Mummy by Anne Rice.
9. One book you’ve been meaning to read: The Time Travelers Wife. My friend Tracy is reading this book right now, and it seems like it would be really interesting.

The Cricket in Times Square

This time of year is Cricket Season. I hate it. They are everywhere, over the outside of buildings, on the inside, falling from ceilings, jumping on you, etc. I hate crickets!!! The Cricket in Time Square by George Selden is a book that I read while in Elementary School and LOVED it.
It is a story about Chester Cricket and his travel from Connecticut to Times Square on a subway and the friends he meets while in Times Square.
This book is endearing and funny and actually makes you like a cricket...which is really really hard to do right now!!

The Mummy

I have started blogging again, and this time around, I want to talk about some of my favorite things: BOOKS. I am an avid bookreader. I can spend all day reading and be happy. My husband really doesn't like this, but it is something that he has come to accept.

Ever since I was a little girl, I have been obsessed with all things Egypt. I love the mystery and history behind the civilization. I love the statues and pyramids and would one day love to visit the ruins of ancient cities. I even took a class on Egyptology when I was 12 years old. If I believed in reincarnation, I would say that I was an Egyptian princess in a previous life!!
My current read right now is THE MUMMY OR RAMSES THE GREAT by Anne Rice. It is about Ramses being immortal and coming back to life in present day London. A slow read, but once he wakes up, the things he does are quite amusing.
