break

Recently, I have been getting a lot of headaches when I read, so I haven't really been reading a lot. I have finally broken down and decided to go see the eye doctor because more than likely it means that my eyesight has gotten worse. Not only can I not see things far away, but it seems like I can't see things up close either. I am definatly falling apart.

Until I can read again without getting headaches, there won't be any posts on books unless I decided to talk about something I have already read.

Suggestions

Does anyone have any good suggestions on books to read??

I got some books at the library the other day and I am not that excited about them, or maybe I have read too much lately and am just in a reading rut!!

Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince

Here is a little secret about me....I love Harry Potter. I have read all of the books atleast five times each and own all of the movies. I even visit the website Mugglenet to read up on upcoming facts of movies and trivia on the books. I have made my husband go and wait in line at midnight just so I can get a copy of the book. Yes, I am addicted.

Right now, I am reading the most current installment of the series. Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince. Harry is in his sixth year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry and things are still very interesting. Professer Snape has finally been promoted to teach Defense Against the Dark Arts and Harry, Hermione and Ron are very wary of this decision made by Headmaster Dumbledore. Harry is taking private lessons from Dumbledore and learning more about the childhood of his enemy, Lord Voldermort.

This is a great installment to the series and the ending leaves you very mad and wanting the next book to come out so that you know what happens to Harry and the whole witching community.

The Time Traveler's Wife

This is a wonderful book that was recommended to me by my friend Tracy. It is a story about Henry DeTamble who unwillingly travels through time. He does not know when he is going to leave and where he is going to end up. Most of the time he ends up visiting Clare, who first meets Henry when she is six and he is in his thirties. However, when they meet in present time when Clare is twenty and Henry is twenty-eight, he does not know her. This is because the memories of traveling to Clare's childhood have not happened to him yet.

This is a wonderful story about two people who defy time and develop a beautiful, yet strained friendship. I highly recommend this book to anyone.
